Going "high gas prices are detrimental to our reelection chances" is not a valid legal argument as to why an exemption should be made now. The tldr is that the Biden admin has, for about the 15th time since getting into power, tried to reverse a Trump policy and, for the 15th time, it ended in disaster and forced them to backpedal and scramble to come up with flimsy excuses for their policy U-turn.
Could you just stop talking about trump and biden and cnn for a minute and take a look at the avg gas prices from the last few years.
