So Joe Biden, who maintains he knows nothing about his son's deals with China and says he's never discussed them and has no role in them whatsoever,
wrote a college letter of recommendation for the son of Jonathan Li, CEO of Bohai Harvest RST Shanghai Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd, the man Hunter Biden was coordinating his bribes with, and did so directly at the behest of Hunter Biden
its right in the emails:

Joe "I've never talked to my son about any of this" Biden, talking to his son about all that.

As recently as Tuesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked to confirm if Biden's statement that he has not discussed with his son his overseas business dealings still stands, to which she replied: "Yes."

lmao. They made a point of badgering Psaki about it to make sure she keeps the lie as fresh as possible ahead of this scoop

You guys are fundamentally misunderstanding this issue.

Biden's corruption is normal corruption. It's shit we expect from the system, and that for any Republican policitian it is actively defended by the exact people who are now criticizing it.

This isn't something you can point to and the average American says "Oh god that's terrible". You point at it and they say "Yeah, that's how it always works. This is standard" We know it's bad, everybody knows its bad, but the alternative is the exact same kind of bad, and often worse. So it doesn't really do much when you keep harping about Biden's son's business deals.

You'd be better off ignoring the laptop stuff because it's not out of the ordinary. The only people who really care are the ones desparately trying to score points because wealthy parents getting their kids off of drug crimes, helping their kids score business deals for personal benefit, etc. etc. is just bog standard at this point.

This level of international bribery scandal and personal sex scandal is far beyond anything normal mainstream politicians have. We "expect" to find out politicians have had their palms greased by some oil company with campaign donations in a quid pro quo, or that they're sleeping with an intern. We don't expect to find out they're funneling millions in bribes from corrupt Chinese and Russian businessmen and state operatives. We don't expect them to cover up child sex abuse or their family to be cavorting with crackwhore prostitutes in public. We certainly don't expect to find out the intersection of their scandals is profiteering off a conflict zone and having a direct negative impact on a major war and humanitarian disaster unfolding in front of us.

Normal meat and potatoes politicians try to cover up that they're spending $500 on a haircut and avoid appearing in a photo op with any named Mohammed. They don't get involved in the formative stages of wars that kill tens or hundreds of thousands of people while greasing their own pockets with millions in pilfered foreign bribe money. The reason our state senator had to resign from office is because he hover-handed over a sleeping woman's boobs in a joke photograph. Not because he bathed in the blood of children slaughtered in some shithole for his own selfish benefit

hey this is just routine state of affairs. Last year we elected a new lady to the school board and darn it, dontcha know that within a month we found out she was selling crates of AK-47s and hand grenades to a liberian warlord for millions in diamonds and a cadre of sex slaves for her teenage son to keep penned up. What a gal, that's our dorothy, always getting into trouble. Made for some fun headlines, then we forgot about it and turned on oscars and clapped like seals

Do people really lack the context of the fact that the president's corruption and bribery scandal is now directly tied to one of the worst post-WW2 wars in Europe unfolding in front of us? The architects of the Euromaidan fallout, who set up their own oligarchy to pilfer the economy after kicking out the Russians and wielded that influence at the highest levels of the US government while taking millions in bribes, now have their hands stained with the blood of the Ukrainian civilians dying for their cause. And the regime we handpicked is vowing to fight to death, even if it means forcibly drafting refugees trying to flee and making their kids fight as child soldiers armed with nothing but molotovs, alongside their Nazi comrades-in-arms. It takes a real deluded media bubble that's formed to insulate us from that perspective and pretend Biden has returned respectable leadership to the white house, beyond any reproach, these stories just "distractions" as NPR so tactfully puts it.

At least when America was killing in the name of oil, we could have a cynical comfort that keeping the gas flowing is necessary to keep the world stable and safe from worse conflict, to sustain our lifestyle and liberties. Cue the impassioned hollywood villain speech. But what did we gain in Ukraine? Who benefitted? The past few decades of American foreign policy have been either overtly corrupt or overtly incompetent interventionalism that destabilized countries in ways that don't serve our interests and sure as hell don't serve the interests of the people we get killed. Guess it benefits the crackhead suddenly making millions of dollars on Burisma's board of directors as a no-show job despite zero qualification and not even capable of speaking their language

In a nutshell, woke policies. Russia bad.

I'm not even sarcastic. Everyone and everything has to bend the knee and if you don't agree you're cancelled. They're trying to cancel Russia just like they tried to cancel Assad and many others.

Russia is gonna be a problem though, we all know why. This shitshow is going to have far reaching consequences, best scenario wild inflation and raw material / food shortages, worst case scenario WW3.

When your side owns the college faculty, the internet forum moderators, the social media board of directors, the DNS operators, the hardware-locked app distribution, its easy to see how you could get locked into thinking you can keep escalating the strangehold up and up and cancel anyone and everyone. Then reality washes in and we find out that America doesn't run Mexico, Israel, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Japan, Turkey, etc. And we even lose our grip on our EU allies as they suckle on Russian gas and pull their punches. So sure, we get to ban a teenage piano virtuoso from performing in Canada for his egregious sin of being born in Russia. But inflation runs wild and I can't buy eggs, and we can't cancel that.

I was noting in another thread how all these crises are coming down simultaneously and parallel, some with shared root causes like covid, others brought on by that mismanagement. That worst case scenario that was so unthinkable might be right around the corner because each crisis we pile on accelerates all the others
