Hillary has always been very hawkish on Russia. Additionally, her and Putin had developed a strong dislike of each other during Hillary's time as SoS. They had a really antagonistic relationship.
I dont think that Putin's preference for Trump over Hillary had too much to do with Trump himself.

I think thats silly. Trump is a loose cannon who massively divided the country and was incredibly unprepared for a real emergency and is insanely easy to manipulate. Hes a dream come true to our enemies.
