If the Republican party survives this we get what we deserve as a collective.
It just shows that democracy creates free environments for its enemies to destroy it.
Here's how it went down:
- election night Trump is losing, he comes out and says the election is stolen
- his propagandists in the media and allies in Congress push that message
- court cases inevitably lose because the narrative was bullshit in the first place
- now half the country thinks the election was stolen, because Trump and his enablers pushed that message, and now the same enablers are advocating overturning the election on the basis that half the country thinks it was stolen
It's sad to say that the people who think the election was stolen don't have the critical thinking ability to arrive at the truth. They've been so brainwashed by the media they consume that there's no reaching them. But the politicians and propagandists in the media don't actually believe it. They are purely cynical and evil actors.
