A devastating cyber attack believed to be tied to Russia continues to pose a "grave risk" to government networks and the private sector, according to an ominous warning issued Thursday by the Department of Homeland Security.

To be honest, I'm shocked by the nutty things Flynn has been saying since his pardon. I always thought that he was a good man with maybe eccentric views who was unfairly targetted and framed by the feds. I still think he did not deserve to go to prison over what he did, but it seems like it was a good thing this total nutcase was removed from his post.

Another month and this nutjob will be gone.

On one hand, yeah, we need to defend ourselves.

On the other hand, when we complain about China manipulating their currency to stay competitive that ignores that it's pretty mild compared to our literal overthrowing of countries for implementing anything other than a purely capitalist system that directly benefits our companies. When we complain about Russia interfering with our elections that ignores that we literally overthrow governments when we don't like the results of their elections.

We can still do those things, but we can't pretend its because we have a principled stance on the right of nations to self-direct. It's purely power politics, and in the end having the power to do something means you can do it.
