Really? Is it just between these two states, or is it like that for the entire country?

Because the implication of this is that gun-owners cannot cross state lines when they have a gun on them.

This is true in some cases though. There are very strict laws between transporting a firearm state to state.

The gun was never in illinois. It didnt cross state lines (not that it matters for self defense). Thats one of the fake news narratives.

I don’t watch the news really, I just know he had a gun and I assumed it was his or his dads.

Also… what idiot gives an assault rifle to a minor 🤣🤣🤣🤣

In this thread: a bunch of people that don’t know the story

He did not take guns across state lines

He had every right to be in Kenosha as he works there and it’s 20 mins away from his house

It’s self defense and anyone saying differently in the same situation would be dead now

He did take the gun across state lines
several towns over several hours away in another state Called Illinois. The City is in Wisconsin, those two States are not the same state. By him carrying the GUn over the State line from Illinois to Wisconsin, that means he crossed state border with the gun.

glad we could clear that up

Yes, he never crossed state lines with a gun.
Another fabricated lie, it gets so tiresome trying to correct people who just eat the media up and do 0 research themselves.

For me, these things don't even have to be true.

Anybody can literally go anywhere they want. They can go attend a protest if they want. People who say "he was at a place where he shouldn't have been" dont make any sense whatsoever. Why shouldn't the kid have been in Kenosha? Just give me a good reason.

it is my opinion that the gun crossed state lines, but it doesnt matter as its not a charge he's facing.

charges he is facing, with regards to processing the gun and being in a place he's not supposed to be however:

Quote
POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON BY A PERSON UNDER 18

Rittenhouse was armed with an AR-style semiautomatic rifle. He was 17 years old on the night of the shootings. Wisconsin law prohibits minors from possessing firearms except for hunting.

The charge is a misdemeanor punishable by up to nine months behind bars.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH AN EMERGENCY ORDER FROM STATE OR LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Kenosha officials imposed an 8 p.m. curfew the night of the shootings. Rittenhouse was still on the streets as midnight approached. The offense is punishable by up to $200 in forfeitures.
