We'll Biden admin is inept and US support back home is convoluted, so likely no one is taking charge unless some catalyst event pulls US further into action, like more bases getting attacked in the region. What should have happened is an early over-reaction tactical response, something like when Trump dropped a MOAB on the Afghan Pakistan border to annihilate alleged IS mines and tunnel systems. Maybe that is where we are headed, but seems late to send that message when US already taking some licks from primitive savages.
The land shipping lanes are smart move TBH for the time being.
Completely agree. An extremely strong message should of been sent the moment an American base or ship was attacked and the fact that its taken this long to gather an international navy task force to "test the waters" in the Red Sea just reeks of cowardice to me. The optics of the American navy getting its shit pushed in with no recourse has done nothing but embolden the muslim world.
Having some of the biggest shipping companies in the world publicly state that it's afraid because America wont do its job is the biggest L I have ever seen Uncle Sam take.
