nice backpedal. sure sounded like you thought it was a good idea when you posted the following, trying to draw a false equivalence between a movement as a reaction to police brutality and racial discrimination, and a profoundly dumb person screeching about defunding the fbi, simply because they dared to search a lifelong crook's lair.
My entire argument was about one movement (defund the police) wanting to reduce the strength of law enforcement while the other movement (defund the FBI) wants to keep law enforcement at the same strength, just with the funding and oversight coming from a different place.
Nothing in my post equates to an approval (or dismissal or any other form of assessment of the quality or effectiveness) of said idea/proposal.

It's not even a plan though. These people are genuinely fucking stupid so you shouldn't try to understand their reasoning. Seriously, you give these idiots WAY too much leeway when you should be treating the same as you would treat the freaks who take a butcher knife to their dick and call themselves a woman.
Well, in this instance, I agree with these people on the diagnosis of the problem (politicization and partisan lean of the feds). I would love smarter and more mainstream voices to offer their (much more well thought out) solution, but oh well...

Which ways did Trump govern like a traditional Republican? Part of the reason there was so much push back is b/c he was sloppy AND his policies were adversarial to the establishment. DeSantis is pretty moderate on climate policy last time I checked as well. Anyway, I would welcome a DeSantis presidency but I don't think he has what it takes to win.
Pass tax cuts, slash regulations, pro business, pro fossils, pro Israel, anti Iran, pro defense spending, nominate conservative judges, try to repeal Obamacare, don't REALLY care about the deficit - those are all staples of Republican politics and things or stances that Trump embraced. There were only three areas of policy disagreement between Trump and the Republican establishment: trade, immigration and isolationism.
Of course DeSantis is a bit more moderate on climate policies than Trump. His entire state will go the way of atlantis before the water even reaches the 20th floor of Trump Tower!!!
