Well theres multiple agendas in this conflict (one from america, Israel itself is not a monolith - not all israelis are for whats happening but will become outcast if they voice their opinion), Palestine has a similar issues too, and Hamas operates on its own.

theres always outliers doing heinous things on their own. war isnt pretty and theres always those that will take advantage of that. but for example, what other army in the world would call up and say "hey, evacuate your building, we're going to bomb it" so that they limit civilian deaths...?
