Well, mostly I am inspired by this thread and that basketball dude. I am not completely familiar with what he's said but it sounds like an instance of employees being punished for saying things their employers don't like.

It doesn't matter if it's political or not. An employee is fired (or in this case, his contract not extended), for the unpopular stuff he's said in public, that his employer doesn't like. This is concerning for me.

So what he's only suspended? It's still something negative happening to him as a result of him public saying things his employer doesn't like. This is an issue for me.

He broke the rules of his contract, and he now faces the consequences
If he didn’t like the contract he should not have signed it.

It all comes back to his voluntary decision to agree to the terms of the contract.

That contract he signed should have been illegal.
