Nazis existing in the Ukrainian military and civilian government aren't the main reason for this invasion, but rather a small one among many. No one who is taking a pro-Russia or anti-NATO stance on this conflict is convinced by this type of argument.

Russia could bomb Ukraine into the stone age if that was their intent. Civilian infrastructure like water, electric, gas, etc cannot be shielded or moved and is a sitting duck for airstrikes let alone bombers, and whatever the shortcomings of the Russian air force, they're still more then capable of matching WW2 era carpet bombers let alone the bare minimum of emulating Assad's barrel bombers. And likewise, Ukraine is more than capable of stopping the pipeline transit, that's easily within their powers. That neither side is doing these, is by choice. And when they have done it, like in Mariupol, it was easy to distinguish between that type of total obliteration, and isolated-possibly-errant strikes in other areas.

Russia targeting civilian utilities is a probable escalation we'll see if they're indeed on a back foot right now. They could turn Kiev into a smoking pile of rubble with the push of a button, what degree they're actually willing to commit is a debate over their willingness, not their capability to commit.

I will continue to use the appropriate terms for the marauders rampaging through Ukraine to my heart's content: orcs. This has zero to do with race, and everything to do with behavior, and only the orcs are responsible for their own behavior. I've been calling them orcs for months, and haven't even been given a 15 minute warn over it. It isn't racist and it doesn't violate the rules of the site, or even decorum.

That doesn't make any sense. Russia already has Crimea, no need for this war to have that. There is no natural gas in Ukraine, and NS2 was about to make Ukraine almost irrelevant to natural gas transport. America had been trying to kill NS2 for years, this war finished it off.

Again, who do you think you're convincing with these arguments? Putin has made clear his reasons for the invasion, and they make more sense than anything you've tried to impute to the guy.

Nazis are a great excuse for him to invade, if Ukraine actually brought them to justice instead of supporting them the support of the Russian people for his invasion would be far weaker
