I'm not okay with any government imposing such a gigantic chasm of an issue into any law. Until there is a definitive reason on either side it should remain a personal liberty with doctor oversight.

Post viability (i am not sure exactly what this means but I assume you are referring to life beginning at conception) was never universally agreed as being a human. Thats the whole cause of the divide.

Interesting take. Viability refers to when a child can survive outside the mother’s body.

Ironically, a small portion of the pro abortion crowd basically woke up one day and said, “babies aren’t alive until after birth”. Obviously not on a literal sense but we went very quickly from “safe legal and rare” to ramming down legislation allowing abortion on demand up until the minute of birth.

Again, you're not offering anything for anyone to discuss. You never responded to whether or not the government should be involved in someone's personal life and health decisions. It's between a woman and her doctor, not some government bureaucrat unless you're advocating for government death panels. If a person's actions don't impinge on another citizen, the government shouldn't be involved. By the same token, being a heroin addict shouldn't be illegal, but smashing into a delivery truck while high on smack should be.

I was extremely clear about how I feel the entire time. Read the OP that is the discussion I wanted to have. If the government has nothing to do with it, infanticide becomes legal. It has been reported to have happened in DC already. We are already at the point where the question, “do you support infanticide” is being asked during congressional hearings and democrats refusing to answer the question.


Anyways, the fact remains there is a bill that house democrats pushed on with overwhelming support, which allows abortions until birth on a federal level. Why don’t pro abortion supporters want to discuss this?
