I watched the entire clip and everything related to it i could find, what i witnessed was a dumb kid who was not a gang banger or anything who took a break up badly and did not have enough fortitude to pull the trigger himself.
He fired out the window to show he was dangerous, pulled up the car and left the gun on the seat literally touching his wedding ring which he clearly placed there.
This was suicide, his fiance left him (in tragic circumstances), he couldn't cope, and he put some people through something horrific because of it.
Outside of the fact that it was his financee and she died, I would tend to concur. It's honestly pretty shitty how he did it though. By wearing the ski mask, they had no way to know he was black, and by leaving the gun in the vehicle, he insured it'd be taken up as an "unarmed black man" racial issue.
Based on the evidence currently available, he didn't merely wish to commit suicide by cop, he also wanted to spark race riots. And his family are all-in on the prospect. Why did the attorney request his "face be blurred"? Oh, because if you blur the "face" of a person wearing a black ski mask, all anyone will see is some "obvious black man".
Sad when even in suicide people can't stop the race baiting.
