My understanding of the Florida law is that it pushes back the age of maturity when it comes to discussing sexual orientation with young children. I don't know whether that's right or wrong, but it's a judgement call that communities need to make. School teachers and administrators don't get to make it for them. That's foundational to democratic governance.

I would rather teach children that a growing population is necessary to the security of a free state, and that it's our patriotic duty to reproduce, but again, I'm just one person among many, and I don't get to make the rules.
