This is how stupid when you say covid isn't over for as long as there is at least on person infected. In fact if I use this rationale of yours, then no diseases have been completely wiped out, ever, because if you try hard enough, you will be able to find one or two persons who have that disease. But we don't take the fact 0.000000000001 % of the population still has that disease to mean that said disease is still around.
