If your a reactionary you're prime to be taken advantage of. If your only guiding principle is based off of your initial gut response you rob yourself of deeper thinking.

Anti-government is pro big business. That's the worst of the two.

I'm anti big business too.
Corporate entities are against the constitution and are illegal.

edit: Nothing wrong with being initially reactionary.
I also don't see how this would prevent me from thinking more deeply as time and info progresses.

You should do some reading on cognitive biases and look to apply them to your thought process. You won't get fooled so frequently if you're on the look out. The mindset that you've never been fooled or can't be fooled guarantees that you get fooled.

Everyone who played Diablo II back in the day has been fooled, and you cannot convince me otherwise. I was a very trusting kid, and fell for the following scams:

- Someone once offered me an Ethereal Shako with 1 durability left for my Non-Ethereal Shako because they told me "Ethereal items are better", and I accepted the trade. It immediately broke after getting struck by a Quill Rat.
- I got bamboozled by the /dnd scam and lost my entire account.
- I downloaded an "iLevel Program" someone recommended in a public game which was a script that forced my character to run around and drop all of its items.
- Someone convinced me that the "Kill you 16 times to dupe your items" trick was legit, which caused me to lose all the gear my character was wearing.

There were many more, I'm sure, but suffice to say that Diablo II was a formative experience in preparing for scam vigilance in the real world.

People would collaborate with a friend (pretending to not know one another) and create a 3-person public game titled "Free Items". You'd then join the game as the third person, and the guy giving away the free items would say something like "Oh, since there's two of you I'll give the items to whomever has the higher DND level". They would weave a story that Blizzard had this thing called a "DND level" which was like a score for how powerful you were (ie. A score based off of your monsters killed, current gear, level, etc.).

In order to find your DND level you had to type /dnd [The password to your account]. However, "/dnd" is a legitimate command in Diablo which stands for "Do Not Disturb". It would prevent people from being able to whisper you, and the message you put after "/dnd" was supposed to be a space that allowed you to explain to people why you were blocking whispers. So, like "/dnd Currently PK'ing". Since the message you put was your password though, they'd try and send a whisper to you, get that message with your password in it, and then quickly leave the game, log into your account, and change the password/steal your items.
