Sorry, we're discussing laws in the US.

you're responding to a different person with a very specific issue that is common not worldwide but in his area. and you're responding with zero acknowledgement that regional issues exist and perhaps require regional attention.

discussing binary issues such as abortion generally comes down to fringe exceptions, thats how writing laws work. when we write a law against murder we dont focus on murder as much as exceptions to being charged, such as self defense. even though self defense represents only a small percent of the cases of murder.

There's really only one logical answer here... if you give people a way out... they WILL take it.
After you get rid of the "get out of pregnancy free card"... then you can work on the other issues.

Christians regulated most of the western world for hundreds of years, but their beliefs are obviously not true. With that logic, we would be stuck in the stone age.

this is what exposes all that feigned concern about the "sanctity of human life" and such as bullshit. they never do. it's not about "protecting life", it's about exercising power, restricting rights.

if they wanted fewer abortions (which i am totally in favour of btw), you'd start with comprehensive sex education, easy access to contraception and family planning, as well as healthcare. this has been proven all over the world btw.
banning and criminalising abortions disproportionally hurts low income (minority) women. that's the whole point. republican lawmakers will just fly their mistresses to mexico to have it done, and continue to preach about morality and the value of life...

you'd have to be a fool to argue that the world over abortion and religion in politics aren't interconnected.

where we have less religion in govt we have abortion legalized, where it's all over the govt its illegal or constantly a target of the religious, as it has been in the US since legalized.

It is funny how many of these pro life people are OK with using the state to make women have a baby but are afraid to have the state make people get a vaccination during a pandemic.

They also aren't supportive of poor people disabled people or people who need help in general. They aren't pro life they're pro birth and ready to treat said baby with contempt after birth while exacerbating the reasons women need abortion.

They are so dishonest. Conservatives were making fun of that 1 guy for taking paternity leave.

What we SHOULD be discussing is how to make it OK for people to have sex and NOT have to worry about getting preggars.
Now THAT would be a GOOD idea.


Like everyone has to get a vaccination when they're... 12, that shuts down the ability to get preggars.

Then, when they WANT to have a baby, they can get another vaccination that turns the baby making, back on.



Problem solved. No more killing babies coz we were.... dumb.
