I haven't had to because I've never gotten a ticket. The few times I've been pulled over they let me off with a warning. Because they understood this idea

Cops who autistically enforce the letter of the law are bad cops. And most cops understand this which is why you've been stuck on a scooter at the mall and not in a police car

They don't prevent crimes at all, they record them. They didn't even call me when a truck that was stolen was in impound while there was an active investigation into it. They probably didn't know they had it. My insurance company eventually called and told me where it was.
