the issue with your ilk is you assume people wouldn't have protested if they knew Floyd's past, or even that he was high as a kite when he died.
that's a stupid thing to think, they still would have. and in most cases did know, because his Fent tox screen was public knowledge early in the case and was known before the riots on the police precinct and downtown of Minneapolis afaik.
you tend to pretend minorities are violent animals, but then later pretend they're rational and acting only on media misinformation. these types of logical mistakes are the result of your conflicting biases against minorities and the media. changing agency depending on whom u wish to criticize is bad form.
coverage of Michael Brown assaulting a store owner that he just shop lifted from was available day of his death or so, riots still followed.
This will be the real me talking, not the guy trying to get a reaction out of people on an online community.
A movement would have happened because the people are tired, annoyed and mad bout everything that been going on for the last decade. What i believe is stupid is that it happened for this exact man when i can probably find you a dozen black man who died the same way who weren't criminals.
On August 9, 2007, George Floyd and five other black men forced themselves into the residence of a Latinx couple in HoustonAfter the invasion, Floyd, who was described as the largest man among the attackers, put a gun against the woman’s abdomen and demanded to know where the drugs and the money were.** There's claims that she was pregnant at said time but i can't find a quick source to back this up and cba spending 15 minutes on this topic.
The real Me ain't racist. It's just the way i use to get people to lose their shit on communities where the vast majorities fight over politics or stupid shit. I'm just able to realize what is worth fighting for and what ain't. Police criminality/corruption? Sure it's a very valid fight. It's a real problem here too in BC. But going Bananas and burning billions worth of business for a guy like Floyd? Hell fucking no.
I'd rather do the same for a black man who was a father and raised his kid properly in the right path . that i would do.
Its not bout the skin color. Its bout the whole story. The character in question.
Im stopping this here but could keep this convo going to explain the point that, the skin color wasnt the problem. its the guy who got "killed" that was the problem. he wasnt the hero people needed. there was many heroes prior to that man who should've been used for this exact same goal.
