Israel is not a "special case", they're simply a tiny nation with a tiny population and enough wealth to afford vaccines for the entire population. Yet they still have only managed to vaccinate just over 5 million of their 9 million population. The US has fully vaccinated (both doses), 84 million people, aka 1/3rd of all adults in the nation, with some 140 million total people having had at least 1 dose (40% of the overall population).

Masks reducing the chances of transmitting something is virtually meaningless. Why? Because while masking, over 157 MILLION people caught covid and over 3 MILLION people died from covid. And where was transmission of covid highest? In hospitals and nursing homes, where mask usage was strictly enforced, and surgical grade. So, why would you be wasting hours of your time promoting mask usage? Honest question, not rhetorical.

We have a vaccine. It's freely available to anyone who wants it. Promote the vaccine. And what're the two best promotional tools of promoting the vaccine? The removal of mask mandates and lockdowns. Done. So when you're sat there talking crazy bullshit like keep wearing your masks, non science deniers are out getting vaccinated and getting back to normal life, or simply accepting the risk of the virus, and getting back or continuing on with normal life.

But I'll tell you what: You want the people around you to wear masks? Pay for their masks. And not cloth rags that're going to become so full of nasty viruses and bacteria by the end of the workday that the wearer ends up getting sick from having a petri dish in contact with their mouth. No, disposable surgery masks. Not just one or two. Boxes, yes? Because every time a mask gets dirty or damaged or you touch it without having first washed your hands, it's supposed to be replaced. After eating, drinking, using the restroom, coughing, sneezing, and any number of other activities, as after each of these activities, the mask is now contaminated, and potentially harmful to both yourself and others.

What's that? You don't want to pay for proper masks for other people? You're just sat there demanding other people do what you want so that you'll "feel safe" over complete inanities?

Yeah, just stop promoting masks, promote the vaccines, call it good. Science will at least be on your side.



What on earth are you basing this on? I never claimed anything at all. YOU claimed that those who've received vaccinations can still transmit covid. I stated flat out that this claim has NOT been verified by any factual data. The WHO, CDC, and doctors are NOT claiming this. That's YOUR claim. If you wish to be taken seriously, how about you find some actual data to back up that claim, or stop spreading it around.

Mask don't stop covid transmission. They reduce the chances of transmission.

That is a valid enough reason to wear one.
We are from eradicating covid with vaccines. I know that's not what you want to hear, but this reality.

masks cause a increase in co2 and a decrease in o2. it gets worse as activity goes up. bullied kids just dont know enough or are to scared to take their mask off. its asinine and child abuse to bully kids into wearing masks and masks dont protect from covid.

you dont see football players wearing masks when they are playing and they are in top physical condition, that should tell you something

The nice thing about countering someone's opinion is that all you need is another opinion.

A box of 50 Surgical face masks run roughly $10 on Amazon. There are 7 Billion people on the planet, give or take. Assuming just 5 masks per person per day, and masking having already lasted a year, that would indicate 36.5 boxes of masks needed per person. So, you want everyone to wear masks properly go ahead and spit out the $255 Billion to provide everyone the free masks to see them through the next year, yeah?

I don't care if you wear a mask or don't. You have no business telling anyone else they should unless you intend to freely provide the masks to be used. Once again, Israel has ended the outside mask mandates, and reduced or removed inside mandates depending on the type of business. And yet once again, their new cases have floored.

When you touch a mask without having washed your hands, anything that is on your hands is now contaminating the mask. Further, it's contaminating the outside of your mask, so whatever contaminate you just infected that mask with is actively being spread every time you exhale. Likewise, when you cough and sneeze, you're making the mask wet while at the same time covering it with bacteria and viruses that are now going to grow in the moist environment you just created for them. Wearing a mask into restrooms ends up contaminating them with feces and urine, both of which, ironically, contain the virus (if the person they're expelled from was infected). When you remove your mask to eat or drink, you are contaminating the mask.

Once again, you don't know the science, you aren't considering anything other than what makes you "feel safe". I don't care if you feel safe. Your feelings are your problem, not mine. I don't care if you get the virus. That is, again, your problem. Not mine. Everyone dies. Everyone. If the virus punches your ticket, oh well. No, everyone else shouldn't reduce the quality of their life to make you "feel safe". You're not safe. You ARE going to die. As is everyone else. The idea that people should change their entire lifestyle over your feelings, which are completely unbacked by science, is outright nonsense.

Masks do not prevent the spread of Covid in any meaningful way. Vaccines, on the other hand, using the case study of Israel, appear to be VERY effective. And, they're "free" because the public has already financed them.

What I've read, is that this is a myth.

The point about pneumonia is valid and I accept there is a I increased risk of that. However it is very low and only prevalent in people with pre existing respiratory issues.

I imagine athletes are vigorously tested, they will also be in closed bubbles and not have contact with people outside of those.
So there is still the risk of transmission but likely much lower than contact with a stranger. It's also a strawman sir.

There is mitigated risk in everything. It's similar to those vaccine deniers saying that there are a chance of bloodclots with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
There is a higher chance of blood clots during pregnancy.
Also getting covid is far more dangerous than getting a nloodclot in most hut the most severe cases.
