"you want to hold politicians accountable for their actions? that'll lead to civil war!"
yeah i'm glad that the current way of protecting everyone, no matter what they do, as long as they share the magic (R) with you, has lead to peace, unity, understanding and totally not put america right at the brink of a "civil war", lol.
There is a well-established way of holding politicians accountable for the votes they cast. It's called "elections".

If the voters in their respective districts agree with your take that these R House members illegitimately tried to overturn the election and incited deadly violence, they will punish them at the ballot box. But you know full well that the voters represented by these House Republicans dont feel that way, so you want the representatives from other districts - ones where the majority of voters feels like you about these events - to take it upon themselves.
