If that's what the company wants, there'd already be nothing stopping them from choosing to only negotiate with one union. But for a union to force it onto the company? That's gonna be a no from me, dawg.

There's no way for the union to force it on the company, any more than the union can force any other terms onto the company. It's a negotiation.

Private sector unions are in general small, have no teeth, and do little to nothing for their members.

Public sector unions should never have existed in the first place.

Lol, that's a pretty naive take on it.

Some unions are very good for their members, like our locals for heavy equipment operators or plumbers. They find their people work. Others just take their dues payments and forward them to political causes, like auto mechanics and teachers.

Its a negotiation. The union has some power and the employer has some power.

I'll reiterate: no, the union should not just "be allowed" to negotiate exclusive bargaining rights. If they earn those rights by showing all the employees they're worth it, the employees can make it the sole bargainer by virtue of everyone simply choosing that union. But to exclude all others? Still a no from me, dawg.

Sounds like you hate freedom and want the government to interfere with negotiations between consenting private parties

Yeah, lets keep firemen and police officers in poverty. Such a weird discrimination. You guys act like their votes count more than ours or that they're super delegates, or that they can subvert the will of the people at large during elections, or that lobbying is bad in the United States. It is so hypocritical after you guys pretend to support the idea that people should be able to fend for themselves.

People who work for services so essential we can't leave them up to chance (the free market) can't organize to make their jobs and lives safer and better. A1.

If we were a kleptocracy like Russia Federation then I could see the opposition. But private and public sector salary and benefits are in line with each other. For example, I would like to work for mobile crisis, respond to emergency psychiatric events in the community with law enforcement, but I got bills to pay.

Oh please.

And let's not forget that police unions are directly responsible for bad cops keeping their jobs and going on to kill citizens with impunity.
