10 feet distance has never worked. The 6 foot rule has always been passing contact, not persistent constant for 2 hours. If you're in a room for an hour with someone, you're exposed, unless it's like a full basketball court.

I started watching in like 2000, which gave me just enough time to witness the Tuck Rule and Gruden Bowl. My nostalgia boners are remembering that sometimes, we won a few regular season games before inevitable, heart-wrenching defeat.
