Don't know if it was brought up in this thread or not, but simply from a functionality standpoint, why would you have a noose-type knot at the end of those ropes? Nooses are meant to tighten the loop when tension is applied. Why have something that would tighten around the hand, and would have to constantly be loosened? A bowline would be a much more functional knot, as it's a fixed knot under strain. This is the closeup picture of it:

That's not a bowline.

Is it possible it was re-tied into a noose a few weeks ago and was a different knot in 2019? I'm not exactly a knot expert lol

I don't think so? At 3:31 of that video Goom posted on the last page, if you pause and full-screen, it looks to be the same knot on that garage door. So it may not have been intentional, but just seems odd, from a functional knot standpoint. Santara is a knot expert. Maybe he can chime in.

Can't believe some SJW at Nascar thought that was an intentional noose!

to recap (my numbers in earlier tweets are not correct.)
-- At 29 tracks with 1,684 garage stalls, only 11 had a garage door pull-down rope tied in a knot.
-- Below is the only 1 fashioned in a noose

these numbers tell a more interesting story than the weak "well it was there 2 years ago" defense people offered.

almost all pull ropes are straight, only a tiny fraction are even tied into a looped knot, only 1 is in a noose.

is is possible that this was there, yes. is it possible that it was tied by a racist who thought nooses generally were funny, yes. is it even possible he was assigned that garage by a racist, yes.

we don't know what we don't know, and likely never will. but still 1/1684 chance that the one black guy gets the noose garage pull. wtf.
