Oh wait. You also don't understand what the qualifications for Asylum even are based on your other post. Because if you did, you would realize the mass majority of these people do not meet those qualifications.

"First, asylum applicants must establish that they fear persecution from the government in their home country. Second, applicants must prove that they would be persecuted on account of at least one of five protected grounds: race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or particular social group."

As you stated, I support Trumps aid to stop it. So that doesn't even make sense.

The Cartel violence does not meet that definition of asylum. Is the Cartel the Mexican government? Not yet. Though they certainly have infiltrated parts of it. Additionally, a huge portion of these immigrants are not even coming from Mexico.

Simply seeking a better life in America, does not meet the qualifications of Asylum.

If that was the case, every person would be allowed automatic entry into the United States.

Also, you just said an increase for years. The graph spiked from January to April? Thats the only notable difference of a spike upwards. That's somehow more notable and attributable to Donald Trump in comparison to other reasons such as Democrats providing incentives for illegal immigration how?
