Seriously, it's never a conspiracy. The twitter crowd went full conspiracy mode when Epstein was indicted, as if Trump, Clinton, and tons of other high profile people would get taken down. It's a fantasy. True Detective plots are not real life.

It's just the loony extension of the populist argument, which is that politicians in Washington don't represent the people, even though they get voted in by the people. People like to think that politicians who think differently than they do are evil. And pretending a bunch of them are part of a pedophile ring maintains the illusion that they are different from normal folk.

Very interesting to see how media outlets are reporting on this consider it's a high-profile suicide. Contrasts the way in which they report on mass shootings.

Essentially every article I've seen on this case voluntarily follows many of the recommendations for reporting on suicide, which includes using language such as "died by suicide" instead of "committed suicide".
