Because explosive charges with evidence are incredibly newsworthy.
Lets say tomorrow that buzzfeed said it had uncovered an actual pissgate tape from Trump in a Russian hotel room, that the whole thing was real all along, then it posted an article about how it acquired it, and enough evidence to prove it was real without showing it. That would be incredibly explosive, it would change the dynamic of the Trump-Russia investigation, it would be a huge political scandal with fallout. Whether it supports the political bias of a network, they should be obligated to report in on it because of how big a news story it is.
Well in this case, TheHill.com, a far more credible publication, did investigative reporting and found details enough to prove explosive allegations about the FBI and top democrats.
Yet its completely absent in reporting from all the major news networks other than fox, when fox are obviously the right wing hacks
All the left-aligned networks have chosen to simply not run this story at all. The story is completely absent on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, WaPo, NYT.
The Hill leans to the left. It shills heavily for the Democratic Party. What did they have to gain by breaking this? If it's going to be some shit-show with Mueller and Comey caught up in a scandal, making it look like the whole "deep state" propaganda deserves credence... it's the kind of thing that could bring down a party for sure. So why would a Dem-aligned publication break it knowing it could break the party? My guess is they know there's a media cycle that will make them money and won't come to much in the end.
edit: and like, we all know that Trump is going to tweet about this because it plays into his "Mueller Deep State conspiracy" tripe. When shit hits the fan from the investigation, Trump is going to use this, and he's going to be successful with conservatives who will believe every word of it.
