It's worse than that.

Mueller was the head of the FBI when the investigation started in 2009, and Comey was the head of the FBI when the investigation was ending in 2015.
Not to mention a few others high in our govt.

This is probably why Comey closed the investigation into Hillary's emails, even before all the witnesses were questioned. He knew it would come out that he had been involved in the Uranium One deal coverup.


/e It's also probably why the Democrats were happy to let Mueller investigate Trump. That way they could keep a lid on the Uranium One deal that Trump accused Hillary of in the 2016 campaign.

/e The point is, Obama would have never signed these deals if he had known ahead of time what he was actually signing.

Short version: The Clintons got $145 million, to arrange things so no one knew what was going on, until after the deal was signed. The truth didn't even come out til 2014 and 2015 documents, got released a few days ago.


I think we're pretty much in agreement here. Obama definitely had no intention here, this was a deal that looked god for the country to him. It was the Clintons who attached their parasitic arms to it, and it's the Clintons who need to be focused on.

As for the deal itself, when we say "gave 20% of U.S. uranium to Moscow" it sounds like we are literally giving Russia power over our uranium resources and harming our national security in some way. In reality, we are giving a mining trucking company the ability to ship uranium for enrichment at facility in Moscow and then shipped back to the U.S. where the Russian corporation benefitted and the U.S. government got uranium enriched for cheaper... everybody won here. But just because everyone is winning, you don't have the right to attach like a lamprey, fucking Hillary.

The Hill leans to the left. It shills heavily for the Democratic Party. What did they have to gain by breaking this? If it's going to be some shit-show with Mueller and Comey caught up in a scandal, making it look like the whole "deep state" propaganda deserves credence... it's the kind of thing that could bring down a party for sure. So why would a Dem-aligned publication break it knowing it could break the party? My guess is they know there's a media cycle that will make them money and won't come to much in the end.

edit: and like, we all know that Trump is going to tweet about this because it plays into his "Mueller Deep State conspiracy" tripe. When shit hits the fan from the investigation, Trump is going to use this, and he's going to be successful with conservatives who will believe every word of it.

I have a hard time believing in the ignorance of everyone involved, but yeah he definitely knew about it by 2015
Back during the Uranium One deal signing, one of those CPIUS heads interviewed about national security concerns explicitly said that if any of the intelligence agencies had any concerns over national security, they would take it to the president.

I like TheHill. It does indeed lean to the left overall, but its still a site with a substantial ideological spectrum that allows partisans from both sides of the aisle, and its one of the least editorialized and least biased sites in terms of their main reports- not the editorials though, but that's what they're for. The Hill has publicity to gain, and the specific journalists involved are right-leaning so they had an ideological bias reason to search for dirt, and they struck gold.

It seems Bill Clinton started this whole thing back in 2005, when he DID meet with Russians in Kazahkstan.


Then-Attorney General Eric Holder, then-U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein, then-Assistant FBI Director Andrew McCabe, were also involved and Rosenstein and McCabe are still involved as they are Trump's deputy attorney general and deputy FBI director respectively.
McCabe is already being investigated for $800,000 his wife’s Virginia state Senate campaign received from now-Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe at a time when McAuliffe was reportedly under investigation by the FBI.
