True, but there's a meta to consider. A culture exists online that simply doesn't in real life. Someone could conceivably post in a certain persona, that everyone realizes is a persona, for effect, without the intent being malicious. Like as a simple example if someone only posted in yo mama jokes, that wouldn't affect how they truly feel about yo mama. I rip on her but she never forgets the cookie to-go bag in the morning.

What makes me laugh in this thread is the fact while I don't necessarily agree with people rejoicing in his death, some of you think he wouldn't have done the same. If I would have died, Widow would have publicly rejoiced in a more 'civil' manner...although I did get him once to basically threaten me physically lol. The guy was a flat out dick that was a legal pedophile. It's somewhat sad so many people can find excitement in his death, but don't act like he wasn't a judgemental prick that used Christianity as a weapon instead of an outlet.

As to the rest I don't always treat others like they treat me. Widow rejoiced when my friend valhalls left the forum, and possibly died, so i wont shed a tear for him. But it is a loss when the only representative of a certain viewpoint leaves the discussion.

Bob had a hard time arguing against anything he personally connected with. If the topic was handicaps he was entirely unobjective, same with liberals, hippies, or anything having to do with race relations. It was part of his bag, but it also showed he was willing to argue on behalf of people he only somewhat identifies with, which is admirable. But ya i must have sent him 10+ truce pms over shit that went to far. I remember on a few occasions him being hyperbolic with entirely racist statements to try and point out I was being racist, when i in fact wasn't.

O well, knowing his story he lived one hell of a varied life and experienced a lot more than i likely ever will.

IMO his responses were one of the draws to coming here.

Yeah that's probably the other significant life event of the past few decades. Certainly significant for a lot of younger people, especially gen x'ers in the US.
