It really gets me that the Christians on the forum complain about the bible being taken out of context, then go on to take the Quran out of context. Islam is no more for world domination than Christianity is, and believe me, there are plenty of Christians who would like their religion to be the one world religion same as Muslims.

The Quran, Muhammad, and Islamic culture explicitly advocates and justifies oppression of non-believers of Islam. You can sugar-coat it all you want, but it's written right there in the book. Those crazy ISIS assholes are merely cherry-picking the parts in the Quran that suit their agenda while so-called moderate muslims choose to ignore them for the sake of civility. It's a defunct, obsolete, and oppressive religion. Who justifies this type of behavior in the name of some fictitious god?

You mistaken me; don't expect any excuses from me for Christianity. That religion has had its fair share or wholesale genocide, ethnic cleansing, and bullshit. The New World was practically a victim of Christianity. I'm really tired of that argument, btw, it's such a pussy cop-out. Whenever someone calls out Islam, someone brings up Christianity. It's the same reason many comedians target Christians instead of Muslims. They know Christians are easy targets who have been beaten into submission. But, they know if you target Islam, heads might start rolling, literally.

But, we're talking about today, now, 2015. Name one continent, besides Antarctica, that hasn't been victim of Islamic terrorism or intolerance in the last 10-50 years.

the current existence of islamic terrorism is a result of foreign policy, meddling in the middle east and support for israel in particular - i'd say with confidence that you won't find islamic terrorism to be a major issue in the decades preceding the creation of israel on palestinian land

that being said you shouldn't be quick to label a quarter of the earths population as the problem when it was the west that created this problem and it's their responsibility to bridge the gap and find a peaceful solution - the establishment of a palestinian state would be a big step towards resolving this matter

as for islam itself it's a comparatively younger religion and will go through the same stuff christianity went through to become the waterred down remnant of itself that it is today
