You might as well be asking "If a tree falls in the woods and there's no one to see it, does it make a sound?"
maybe the more important question would be how much time would it take, or since there would be no one there to see it would it take any time?
Someone asked me a few pages back If I even knew what love was. I think there are several types of love The love I have for my children is unconditional I'd lay my life down for any of them, I will love them no matter what they do with their lives, I won't always be happy with some decisions, or some mistakes they make, and have made but my love will remain unwavering and as real as they are.
My love for my wife began as infatuation as most does but that has slowly grown into a partnership where we've become close to knowing what the other is thinking, and feeling, empathy and unconditional I guess is how I
would describe my love for her. Yes I would lay my life down for her as well, but there are things she could do to make me stop loving her. unlike my kids.
As far as my love for my fellow man, I believe that we are so lucky to have evolved into this species that has just a small speck of time to enjoy life here on mother earth. That it's a crime to cause somebody pain or strife, or to cause someones time here to shorten. I feel a responsibility to leave the earth as healthy or healthier for the coming generations as it has been for us. I can't help but love my fellow man's diversity, his thirst for knowledge, the arts, medicines and science. How can you not love your fellow man when you think that in a blink of the eye (speaking in the lifespan of our earth) what we as a race have accomplished from the first time our ancestors held a stick in their hands.
