You only need permission to drive on the roads built by the public. You can drive on your own property all day and every day. You only need a Social Security number to enter into a working relationship with a government created entity (business). You can work for yourself all day and every day. The rules are for interactions with society. If you do not interact with society, you need not concern yourself with their rules. A quick Google search of the first state I found shows that you do not need a license to fish or hunt on your homestead (FL). You only need concern yourself with a marriage license if you are concerned about interacting with the laws of the land regarding said marriage (i.e. for tax purposes, next of kin determinations, divorce, etc). Nothing is stopping you from living as a married couple without it. Just don't expect many people who offer their services performing marriages to the public to perform your ceremony. You have to understand DataJunky that most everything you bitch about in the OP is false unless you wish to interact with society. If you find these rules for society are truly too onerous, there is nothing preventing you from doing as you wish, so long as you are doing it on your own. Have fun subsistence farming, but I think it's more efficient and advantageous to interact with society and to simply seek to limit what my be imposed on you.

Nobody "needs" permission to drive on any public road. Everyone has an inherent right to travel FREELY. The only time someone needs permission is when they are a child and when you BEG for a drivers license the state treats you as a child. This thing you call a government created entity namely a "business" is curious. Can someone have a business that is not created by government? You seem to want to direct this conversation into me leaving society to find some freedom, and I wouldn't disagree entirely, but there is a much better way. That is for you and everyone else to stop being state owned slaves, treating each other like children begging for permission for things you already are entitled to.

Nobody needs permission to walk on public roads. You certainly need permission to operate a dangerous piece of machinery on public roads. It's society making sure you're capable of doing so without endangering others.

You are not entitled to anything that government has not given you or vowed to protect.

By using the roads provided by the government you are agreeing to be a part of that system. It is a silent agreement, if you don't want to be a part of the system then don't be. I will not stop you, but to say that you have a god given right to drive on that road is amusing, the roads are property owned by an entity. I'm feel it safe to assume then since you do not believe in ownership that it would be ok for me to walk into your home eat your food and start breaking things.

DataJunky, you want to rage at government giving you permission for things? Here's a couple thing to get legitimately fired up over:

In this video, a deputy sheriff who doubles as a school resource officer arrests a man for having the temerity of asserting his parental rights and trying to pick his children up from school on foot, instead of waiting in the line of traffic on a busy road for an hour or more.

And then there's this story out of Boston, where doctors at Children's Hospital are now involved in a custody battle with a family over seeking and getting proper medical care for their daughter. Are they abusing her? No. they're following their doctor's advice, until someone(s) imposed themselves as her doctor. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2510404/Justina-Pelletier-trapped-hospital-sends-hidden-notes-parents-origami.html

You don't know how governments work. Clearly you need to refresh your knowledge. The government doesn't provide anything without us first giving them permission to provide it. Not everyone consents to be governed like a child.

I do not need permission to travel in my own personal conveyance. Not from you or any governing body. Anyone who tries to stop me is assaulting my god given right to travel.

God given right to drive cars? That's new.

It's a close relative of the God given right to practice medicine on others, and the God given right to dump his used oil in the river.
