look back into history at how religious people have acted throughout the centuries and then maybe you will get a better understand why we are fed up of your bullshit

Hogwash !

The anger is far more personal and is usually uncovered in honest conversation .

You've asked me that question...

Although I cannot deny that I can be quite the angry person, I can fullheartedly say that I am not, in any way, angry with God.

I know you are angry and I have seen you misdirect it in religious threads . We may disagree on the roots of your anger but that it is there is obvious .

I think the closest thing to the metaphysical that I've been angry with, is the human condition.
Spin that however you like.

Why do you care what other people believe though?  Are they constantly trying to convert you or something?

Yes, they are constantly trying to convert me. Do you know what a "church" is? It's a building that takes up space every few blocks of the road in USA. Surely until these buildings are gone, I will always be in anger towards the christians and other religious people.

I do not care if you don't believe and I have absolutely no interest in converting you .

That's great. And your point is...?

All I want to know is why there is so much venom in your words over something so insignificant .

What are you claiming is insignificant? Because religion is hardly insignificant. Followers of religions constantly attempt halting scientific progress and achievements... That's hardly "insignificant". And let's not forget all the poor souls who have been murdered in the name of "god", hmm? From wars caused by religion, to the christian god's flood killing trillions of creatures, to various executions, such acts are simply inexcusable. But please clarify what is so "insignificant".

I am actually quite surprised that you take a literal interpretation of a story in a book you don't believe is true in the first place !

Doesn't that strike you as kinda silly ?

Interesting how you neglected to clarify what you consider "insignificant".

But no matter. I will respond. No, it does not "strike [me] as kinda silly", because I have clarified that I am speaking of the christian god, who, like the other gods, does not exist (which I have stated in an earlier post).

Since we both know your claim that religion is holding back science is absurd I didn't bother to address it .

Are you even aware that the Big Bang was first proposed by a Catholic priest ?
