100%, they're generally the only disciplines worth anything for intellectual growth & stimulation

Chemistry is nothing without the underlying physics, without it people are reduced to pure memorization, imagining little coloured balls instead of atoms with geometric energy levels, and that approach is why people often fail

I'm a chemist purist so no. Chemistry without underlying physics knowledge is, however, unenlightened.

I'd advise people to not even go to university for chemistry or physics unless you're truly interested in the fundamental knowledge of the world. I'm thankful for my chemistry education, not for work opportunities, but for understanding my immediate world & my physical body to be the best athlete I can be.

Applied mathematics is where the money is. My brother makes over $400,000 USD total compensation as an applied mathematician. In runs in the family
