Any assassination attempt should be seen as gravely concerning. I'm glad Trump wasn't seriously injured--or worse. Saw other posts mention someone did get hit as collateral? If so, I hope that person(s) is okay.

Shooter is dead. One bystander dead and another injured but still alive.

So we know it was a rooftop sniper only a short distance from the rally itself, and in plain view of some bystanders
That sounds like its a huge fuckup by the secret service. Not just for letting a guy get in that position unsecured, but even once he was in position and took his time to set up and aim, secret service countersnipers should have shot him without needing any authorization or identification, its a prone person on a rooftop with a rifle that isn't an identified secret service sniper that's automatic engagement.

Well... Butler, PA is out in the sticks. I doubt the secret service could possibly protect the whole area.
Also... the guy could have just come onto the roof.

Pretty obviously was a false flag then if the SS allowed it to go down like that. He didn't even get hit by a bullet, it was glass from the teleprompter. Which means the shooter aimed several feet away. Note that the SS took the hat away to hide that there was a squib in there.
