So let's say you call somebody him, and are corrected by them to say they want to be referred to as her. What do you do? You don't have a right to demand their medical records. You don't know their biological sex at birth. Maybe they're detransitioning? Maybe they aren't trans at all. Maybe they are trans. You have no idea!
The fact that we even have contend with these sorts of things makes me realize how sick our world is. Apparently when I talk to someone new I have to wonder if they are "detransitioning" or whether they are "trans". Peak level clown world, I tell you. 20 years ago it wasn't like this.

So when HR calls you in and says "why are you referring to them as a he, when they've told you they are a her"
What is your response? That you know their biology better than they do? That you should be able to call anybody whatever pronoun you want?
Have fun with that.
I don't presume to know someone's biology better than they do; however it is very obvious when it's a biological man having delusions about being a woman and insisting that I go along with his lunacy. No. I will not.
You make me sound like I am being unreasonable. I am not. When I see a man, I call him sir. When I see a woman, I call her ma'am. If the HR has a problem with that, then it's simply too bad. For them to force me to go with someone's gender-confusion or risk discipline, I can argue that they are harassing
me, and in a sense, they are.
