There's no serious work about "well-regulated Militia" here. Nor any point linking it with reality. From your PDF:
==> Well-regulated in the 18th century tended to be something like the militia was a state-based institution," says Rakove. "States were responsible for organizing this."
==> well-organized, well-armed, well-disciplined
In Italic: Lol "something like"... Expert being vastly embarassed (or something like it).
I think the situation is perfectly clear: there's not well-shit militias in 2023 in the U.S. We are talking about weapons able to kill people here; I don't see regulation.
This is not a joke you can bypass with a lazy PDF...
It is the right of the people to ask for "well-regulated militias"..
Nope.
A well-regulated militia, that is to say a militia that is fully functional and ready to act, is necessary to maintain a free state. They go on to point out that they want everyone to have access to arms so that they can be proficient in their use. That's why
THE PEOPLE have the right. The militia doesn't have the right. The militia being good is why they want the PEOPLE armed.
