Speaking of the daughter-in-law Hallie, we know that when she accused Hunter Biden of being sexually inappropriate with Natalie, Joe and James Biden both circled the wagons and threatened to use their media / DC connections to destroy Hallie's reputation and protect Hunter. They were pretty explicit about that, and talked about working with Hunter to support him just 2 weeks after the CEFC story came to light, talked about 'giving him a safe harbor'.

There's just so many hundreds of drama whore text messages between hunter and his family on the laptop that I can't even find the ones I'm looking for, but one look at them and you start to get an idea of how deep the family issues went, and its clear that Jim/Joe Biden were not cutting off Hunter, and were bending over backwards to accommodate his bullshit, even if that meant they were taking knives out for his own daughter-in-law. One notable revelation we got from the laptop is pictures showing Hunter being sexually inappropriate with Natalie, which is one element where Joe/Jim Biden may genuinely have not known whether he was actually doing something wrong, but chose to take his side reflexively- or just pretended to do so while talking him down from suicide in texts. Its impossible to tell with a family that fucked up. But now we have evidence they might not have.

I mean just glance over those wild text messages between Hunter and Jim/Joe/Hallie/Natalie/etc and I don't think you can deny that they had serious issues in their family and were capable of tolerating 'bad stuff'. They knew he was a crackhead banging prostitutes and he was openly abusive and cruel to them and yet still they were trying to support him. Its not hard to imagine a scenario where they thought they were doing some good for Hunter by hooking him up with a """"""real"""""" job

all of this can be viewed in a few ways:

1. protect hunter to protect joe's public image
2. protect hunter to protect hunter
3. both

i think there's some both, a lot of 1, and far less of 2. at least in more recent times. he's clearly beyond much help these days.

Read through those texts, its extremely clear that the Biden family was emphatically not engaging in "1" but rather "2", at least for his years active in business with them.
If they wanted to protect Joe from Hunter, they would have cut him off. Let him drink himself to death, just avoid him, whatever. But instead they spent years of their lives engaging in dramatical "I'm about to kill myself reeee~" back and forth, and in the same years he magically made tens of millions from business deals with obvious bribery implications.
It wasn't until Hunter started making headlines circa 2018 for those deals that his conversations started to talk about how he's being isolated and unable to support himself precisely because of the scrutiny. And it wasn't some subtle thing, Hunter then spent tons of time raging about it in his texts, how he couldn't afford his alimony, even trying to talk Hallie into giving him money and accusing her of shorting him.

I think Joe and Jim Biden are human beings, capable of all the emotional responses and attachment to family that comes with.

Do the Biden's have unlimited cash to funnel to Hunter? James Biden seems to have run the family business pretty effectively, we don't have any incriminating evidence on him that did not come directly from Hunter's fuckups.

I don't think Joe would have a problem involving Hunter, because Hunter is the smartest guy he knows. It's possible to believe in your son and be fine involving him in the family business. People do it all the time.

When Hunter was on the hook for his tax evasion during the campaign a miraculous ""family friend"" stepped in to pay his millions in back taxes. And of course, they met at a Joe Biden campaign fundraiser.

Joe and James and the circle were pretty clearly trying to tie up the mess Hunter was making and minimize exposure. If he wasnt a crackhead fuckup we'd have no insight into this corruption

When Joe Biden was setting up a face to face meeting with the Ukrainian prime minister in 2016, and again a month later when setting up a phone call with him to discuss the role of the prosecutor Joe Biden had replaced, Hunter Biden was CC'd by white house officials in the emails. That's an email from Joe Biden's top military / foreign aide (john flynn) to Joe Biden ('robert peters, pseudonym), and Hunter Biden is magically on the CC list.
Looks like the white house staff was completely aware that Joe and Hunter Biden were working together when it came to Ukraine

$5 million for Hunter Biden, $5 million for Joe Biden, paid explicitly as bribes to get Joe Biden to intervene and fire Shokin and put in a replacement who would quash investigations into Burisma, which he promptly did. And Joe Biden was personally involved in organizing the bribes, on the phone with Zlochevsky twice, and was paid indirectly through a shell game of accounts whereas Hunter Biden was paid directly.

Well there it is. Time to impeach Biden.
