I don't think I've done that. You're trying to hint that in my calls for unity, I'm asking Trump supporters to change their policy positions or something. What I've done is ask them to abandon the hatred and anti-Americanism, because if they don't, I'm not sure how they can be part of a more unified country.
So, what are you actually saying? That we must accept as valid their hatred of fellow Americans and anti-American ideas, like stealing an election they lost? Are responsible citizens supposed to meet them halfway on those issues?
I'm not a Democrat, but sure, there's those in the party that are hateful and anti-American. I'm not asking Trump supporters to view those opinions as valid. I don't view leftist historical revisionism(like the 1619 project) in the same bucket as acceptance of a president trying to steal an election. To me, they're on different planets. One is acceptable discourse, the other is completely unacceptable discourse/action.
As you hate them. You're incredibly bitter. I think you need to recognize that when you jumped off the deep end and followed the Russian collusion conspiracy theory down the rabbit hole, you created a lot of animosity on the other side. It's going to take time for that to heal.
You can call yourself what you like, but from a policy standpoint you are firmly a member of the establishment wing within Democratic party.
The Kafka-esque hysteria on the left, whether its "white fragility", the 1619 project, or the ideological purges within academia, are fundamentally threats to neo-liberalism. News journalists forsaking objectivity for advocacy threatens neo-liberalism. It's a far greater long-term threat than a bunch of poor, working class whites without a shred of institutional power. And yet it's to that demographic that you direct all of this anger and resentment.
