honestly the stop supporting israel is just the flavor of the week for the masses of liberals who pick up and abandon causes at breakneck pace. not that conservatives are much better, but they seem to have a bit more resolve in recent memory. give it a few weeks or a month and they'll find a new toy and forget all about 15 billion dollar aid packages in 2024. either they'll have to let it go or risk biden losing to trump, or trump wins and aid to israel is the least of their worries.

the whole discussion of aid removal is illogical for a myriad of reasons. it wont happen, if it does it wont result in changes they think it will, if it did result in that and they got what they think they want we'd have millions of dead jews and muslims, etc. You're not an idiot by my estimation at all, but many people who call for specific actions havent even taken it 1 step down the line, let alone the 4-5 steps you need to.

the free palestine movement is OLD, it's not new at all. but support for it, and by extension chances that it leads to serious govt action, ebbs and flows. right now its high, as is the chance that the USA does anything in terms of altering aid. but soon the war will wind down, the casualties will stop exploding, israel will move into occupation mode, and the calls for the biden whitehouse to stop all aid (as if he even can) will die down.

guess what, BLM still exist. the criminal justice reform movement still exists. wallstreet reform still exists, well after occupation ended. etc etc etc.
