because we don't know if widespread voter fraud occurs doesn't make it racist to put measures in to prevent it. voter fraud most definitely does occur, should we only look for solutions for problems when they are catastrophic?

there is no evidence of anything other than individual cases of voter fraud. its racist to target the photo id laws in minority neighbourhoods and then making them pay for it. let's be real here - the republicans aren't talking about whites when they mention voter fraud.

the people in the o'keefe videos supporting voter fraud were white. Voting should require an ID regardless of the neighborhood. Are all the other things requiring ID in that picture racist as well because IDs cost money?

im not against photo id, im against targeting minority communities with these laws to stop them from going out and voting. if the state cares so much about a nonissue then they can foot the bill, in which case it's fine

this is agreeable if they cannot afford to pay the small bill (its like $10 in most states and lasts forever)

i'm pretty sure the states that require voter ID already do this

given out terrible track record at solving problems in the long term, id say its not a bad idea. Otherwise we end up spending millions-billions to keep .01% of the population in the bathroom that we feel safe with.
