no one else was being chased and heard a gunshot from behind them. also no one else is on trial.

he shouldnt have come to kenosha, he shouldnt have had a firearm, he shouldnt have shot the 2nd and 3rd person as he should have disarmed himself after the first shot IMO, but the first shot isnt exactly a clear case. if anything in that scenario i support him shooting both legally and morally. how he got there i dont support, and where he went from there i dont support, but in that moment is what is on trial.

I've come to the conclusion you have to scold him like a dog when he is wrong for him to learn.

Self defense should be protected. Not sure about the gun laws and crossing state lines and stuff though. I live in a pro gun state. If someone’s attacking me with an object like a skateboard or a hammer or something, they’re getting shot, no questions asked.

Now… if I cross state lines into somewhere like Massachusetts, I believe even possessing a gun without a license is mandatory time. All bets are off at that point. That’s the difference between me and an idiot gun owner, I know where I can and can’t take my gun.

Laws are weird. But at the core of it, he was being attacked and defended himself. Now should he have taken his gun from Illinois to Wisconsin? Idk, I don’t know the laws. There’s lots of nuance at play here.

no, he shouldnt have, as its a crime to take guns from illinois to wisconsin. just as its a crime as an illinois resident who is a minor to have a gun on him in wisconsin, let alone open carry.

illinois has several very liberal laws on guns from chicago politics, and wisconsin as well, although less liberal.
