I stumbled upon these blogs which ice age might find interesting. The often quoted study regarding saturated fats actually shows that there was more of a correlation of sugar causing adverse health conditions.

i don't know how large it is but the topic of fat shaming as a whole has only become a noticeable topic in the last few years and medical fat shaming was part of that

and you're right about the title

so you just make up shit to justify your toxic approach toward the obesity epidemic?

If you wanna be a dick to fatties do it without pretending like you have any idea what you're talking about, at least that would be honest

this isn't about shaming all fat people and i honestly don't get how shaming people for overeating would be connected to shaming people for being mentally challenged
this is about combating the movement that seeks to claim obesity as normal and healthy, a demographic of professional victims who do not want to be held accountable for what they've done to their body and cry bullying when doctors tell them they need to lose weight

Being against fat acceptance doesn't require being a proponent of fat shaming. Fat acceptance is the sjw type of bullshit that doesn't deserve any more attention but for some reason it triggers a bunch of people and makes them flirt with fat shaming which is plain stupid. We can shame people for overeating when they're not fat (yet?) just as we can shame people for smoking cigarettes before they get lung cancer. Not when they're suffering from the consequences of their actions.

Do you have friends or relatives who are obese? Would you shame them for being fat? Chances are they are already struggling with their body image and confidence, so what's the benefit in making them feel more guilty about it than they already do?

"cry bullying when doctors tell them they need to lose weight"

Show an example of where this happened

You make up nonsense like the above and you use 1 fat model and 1 fat reality star (both in occupations that are universally pretty terrible for our society) and you use that as a basis to endorse shaming and pretend you are somehow some warrior against fat pride.

People aren't proud of being fat they are just tired of being defined by it and judged because of it.

it'd be fine if they were fringe lunatics but they've been successful at getting attention is the problem they've infiltrated multiple tv shows, magazines, fashion, education etc.

why is nonsense like this being promoted as inspirational? getting asked about bmi triggers a multi page essay about how bmi is inaccurate and says nothing about your health?

Since your world seems to be based around pop culture I assume you are very opposed to modeling and "reality" based celebrity in general, right?

The big people celebrity thing is new but since you are in this for the health reasons it must be safe to assume you have been shaming the models and actresses that contributed to anorexia, bulimia, body dismorphic disorder and stimulant abuse right?

You and i agree about fat acceptance. There's nothing to discuss there. Yet you somehow connect fat shaming as if it were necessary to opposing fat acceptance? If anything, you'd actually just fuel the fat acceptance movement!

k let's leave it at this, i don't encourage mindless cruelty towards obese people however we do have an obligation to encourage family members to pursue healthier life styles if they're eating themselves into an early grave the same way we'd do it to family members who are smokers - also smack down the absurdities of the fat acceptance movement wherever you encounter it not allowing people to lie to themselves or others about what they are doing to their body

Fat shaming will never stop, how else would skinny people feel good about their miserable existence?
