i was hoping for :
i condemn the expression from the river to the see when anyone says it
i condemn collective punishment and indiscriminate bombings
Also if the president of the United States says is indiscriminate bombing, a bit late compared to everyone else in the world, but he got there, who am I to argue.
being different can be good and bad. the IDF has little or no incidents involving rape of civilians, which sets it apart from most armies in the world. the IDF has repeatedly bombed UN buildings and killed UN staff, which is also quite uncommon. Dropping the amount of ordinance, which it has to date, on Gaza, is also uncommon.
define in simple terms "indiscriminate bombing". the reason it's a useless PR term is because its a subjectively applied label for emotional effect.
why does it bother me? well, because like many of the terms you and other spout ad nauseum it doesnt change anything. in fact it has the opposite effect and steels the Israel reserve. they're genocidal, they're indiscriminately bombing, they're ethnically cleansing, they're colonizers, operators of an apartheid state, oppressors, etc etc etc. You think these kind of negative labels will stop them? long rants about how they're bad people? that's effective? what a laughable idea.
they need to be compassionately explained why something else that's more humanitarian is better for them. that's how the world works. you dont make people change by demonizing them. compassion towards israel is not for israel, its for gaza. anything else is actively killing more people in gaza. you and everyone else who just repeats twitter buzz words is actually putting a fire out with gas. you've labelled them the worst monster there is on earth, so they'll continue to act like it. what is the worst that can happen? you keep calling them vague bad names?
