was gonna roll a few hundo into them, pfizer, and astrazeneca just to find a decent offramp once good news broke on their respective vaccines. or hold if bad news kept coming. even astrazeneca dealt with a healthy dip and rebounded after troubles.

I sold some off at Friday or Thursday to lock in gains

just curious in these 1-2 month high low selloff trades are you targeting a specific return? 20%? 30%?

i crunched some numbers targeting 20% gains and liked the risk/reward that it brought, but shit some of these are peaking at a really nice 30 or 40% gain strategy.

I haven’t been clinical like I hit X % then sell some which is probably what should be done. More so on my days off I sit and look at portfolio and see what looks good to add/trim. The stuff I have been trimming has been up >40%, for example moderna I got in at 40s and highest entry was 58 and sold some ~90. Roku, twilio, roku I’ve done even better but the challenge is selling a real winner. Twilio I got in at 100 sold at 200 and was gonna reload with pullback ... I can’t even look at its price anymore. The chop and change plays I only do in my roth tho

ya i should do more on feel as well, but think im too close to the spectrum with regards to numbers and it gives me anxiety to not have a hard exit plan and for that plan to be anything but lowish risk.

generally on the stocks ive picked i have a 1-2 month max exit plan, otherwise i toss it into the long term gain portfolio and just forget about it unless it spikes.

This what I do too in my non retirement account

In retirement I just yolo no taxes, no penalties to chop and be aggressive

yup sometimes u just have to forget something exists or it will eat at you.

i fucking bought LTC at like 105$, had been at 130$+ in the week preceeding and i smelled a rebound and wanted to dump for a nice 10-20% gainer.

instead it fell to 50's, and has stayed there minus a few 70s rebounds.

im not gonna take a fucking loss on it even tho its only like 30$ down, ill just forget i have it until i get lucky and it clings to a 20k BTC spike so i can sell off in the 90s-110s.

luckily when i bought my LTC i had already stopped my 50%+ portfolio cash buys. i used to let it all ride on BTC lol, first few trades i hit some nice 10-20% gains, so i kept at it, and got fucked a few times. so my LTC buy was only like 10% of my cash. thank god. id be hundreds down if it was a buy in my first few months.

If we could only go back in time 10 years And put every dollar u got on btc
