Originally Black Panthers were an anti-racist organization, had white people in their ranks, and were based on the radical idea of "love for all people". They monitored the behavior of police, essentially policing them, to great effect. They did things like free breakfast programs in inner city neighborhoods.
The idea that they were a racist organization came about by threatened white supremacist led by J. Edgar Hoover. They were labeled a terrorist organization. Their leaders were arrested on "conspiracy to..." charges that had no actual crimes, and other leaders were killed when the LAPD opened fire on them unprovoked during a "raid" on one of their offices. They were tremendously impacted by the murder of Dr. King.

It's a simple constitutional right to be tried by your peers.

Which part of their platform do you fundamentally disagree with?
I'm talking about the original Black Panthers. I'm not addressing the groups that calls themselves the New Black Panthers.
