I am not familiar with these liberal students you speak of, however if they are against landlords, it's probably not because they hate their "success". If I were to guess, they hate them for taking up too many resources (owning too many houses..etc) such that poor people now can't afford homes, or something. This isn't jealousy.

Look, I agree that people can be jealous of others who are richer or own many more things than they do. I give you that. However, to be so jealous to the point where they want to commit genocide, that's a whole other ball game. It is simply improbable that ordinary people can be whipped into a murderous, genocidal frenzy over, "look! those Jews own so much more than we do! Kill them all!!" If people are willing to do some seriously unpleasant things to other fellow humans, there's gotta be some really, really good reasons.

I didn't say it's unthinkable or totally impossible. I said that it's improbable to be so jealous as to want to commit genocide.

Besides, the Nazis had good reasons for what they did. You might not agree with these reasons but what you can't deny is that the Nazis believed they had real grievances.
