We don't have elections, so we still have covid as main news which means numbers are stupidly pumped up by media.
States had elections so I guess people forgot about covid for few days.

I'm Canadian. I'm just objectively looking at cases per day.

For several days now France has been the second highest reported cases per day in the world.

What's incorrect about looking as the reported figures for the last few days and stating that of the reported cases France is in top 2 and 3?

Are you saying you have another data set that's more reliable and directly contradicts what I'm saying? If so why didn't you post it?

The whole of Europe has a massive second wave though.. At the moment we're doing worse than the US.. We kinda had it under control during the summer (Far better than most of the US at that time). But then failed to implement a working system that isolates infected and those in close contact. Efficient enough to reopen as much of the economy as we had (even Germany), and open the schools after their recess with the weather getting colder. Hence Europe going back to the hammer.
