remember when we had emails of Don Jr inviting a russian spy to trump tower to get dirt on HRC and Goomshill said it wasnt collusion it was only attempted collusion and not a crime, and also cast doubt on literally every single piece of evidence while also stating over and over that unethical behavior isnt a big deal only illegal behavior is?

what crime is this Goom, surely Barr is dropping charges any day now. the DOJ/FBI has had this for how long now? lol

So you think that taking millions of dollars from the chinese communist party and ukrainian oligarchs in bribes, is the same thing as holding a meeting with russian-americans who say they have evidence your opponent is illegally fundraising in China- only to find out they were lobbyists with a fake story to get in the door to talk about the Magnisky-Adoption impasse at which point the Trump team stopped listening.

The crimes are bribery, racketeering, acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign power, and conspiracy for the preceding.

Can you for a second appreciate that the frontrunner for the 2020 election is someone who was literally taking millions in bribes from China? As in, an actual manchurian candidate. Someone beholden to the chinese communist party. Not just politically aligned with them, but on their payroll, being paid to carry out their agenda and with that held over him as leverage.

Until this scandal broke, I was actually fine with either outcome for this election. Like I said, I previously supported Biden in '08, and policy-wise he's so close to Trump and given the impasse in congress and lack of judicial openings, it should be a low impact election. But having Joe Biden literally taking millions in bribes from China in deals he negotiated with them in actual conspiracies- the kind where people are avoiding putting his name in print so it doesn't get back to him- that changes things.
I don't think we can afford having an actual Chinese owned candidate in office.

My number one issue for 2020 is going on a political/economic offense against china

What do you make of these chinese deals?

I don't know what he sees as far as taking money from the Communist Party of China. A lot of people believe Bill Clinton and Al Gore took money from them. We know our current president has taken money from the Communist Party of China:

Quote
The building in question is 1290 Avenue of the Americas, which is located between West Fifty-first and West Fifty-second Streets. The majority owner of the building is Vornado Realty Trust, a big real-estate company that is run by the veteran developer Steven Roth. In 2007, the Trump Organization acquired a thirty-per-cent stake in the Sixth Avenue building and also in separate Vornado development, in San Francisco. By all appearances, the Vornado stake has been one of Trump’s most successful investments, and the Bank of China played a significant role in its success. “The debt stems from a $950 million refinancing deal in 2012, to which the Bank of China chipped in $211 million,” the Politico article said. “Vornado’s federal financial disclosures show it and the other owner of 1290 Avenue of the Americas—Trump—are still indebted from the 2012 deal.”

Quote
“There are definitely legitimate questions that are raised by Hunter Biden’s actions,” Robert Maguire, the research director for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, told Politico. “They are not even in the same ballpark as the conflict of interest questions raised by President Trump’s continued relationship with his own company.”

Quote
Whether Trump’s businesses received more loans from state-owned Chinese banks—or other investors with ties to foreign governments—is unknown because Trump refuses to release his complete tax returns and other financial records. The “financial disclosure law did not require him to disclose any business loans he had not personally guaranteed,” Walter Shaub, a former head of the Office of Government Ethics, which establishes standards for the executive branch, wrote on Twitter on Friday. “So, who knows who else he owes money? I’ll tell you who: The lenders who have him in their grip.”

We do know that Trump-family companies have done business with Chinese entities on other occasions, too. In 2017, a Trump-branded golf resort in Dubai hired two Chinese firms to do construction, McClatchy reported. And, since Trump has been in the White House, the Chinese government has issued numerous trademarks to Ivanka Trump’s businesses.

Relative to the size of the two-hundred-and-eleven-million-dollar loan in 2012, these dealings were minor, but they confirm the essential truth that Trump, despite his rhetoric, is a participant and a beneficiary of the global economic system that he blames for the gutting of the American middle class.

From New Yorker: https://www.newyorker.com/news/our-columnists/donald-trumps-debt-to-china

From Politico:

Quote
But Trump himself has taken on debt from China. In 2012, his real estate partner refinanced one of Trump’s most prized New York buildings for almost $1 billion. The debt included $211 million from the state-owned Bank of China, which matures in the middle of what could be Trump’s second term.

Steps from Trump Tower in Manhattan, the 43-story 1290 Avenue of the Americas skyscraper spans an entire city block. Trump owns a 30 percent stake in the property valued at more than $1 billion, making it one of the priciest addresses in his portfolio, according to his financial disclosures.

Trump’s ownership of the building received a smattering of attention before and after his 2016 campaign. But the arrangement with the Bank of China in 2012 has gone largely unnoticed. The questions surrounding Trump’s ties to the Bank of China come as his campaign is claiming that Biden would be a gift to the Communist country and America’s chief economic rival.

Quote
The Trump campaign has steadily increased its focus on trying to portray Biden as weak on China amid rising voter disapproval of China, the source of the coronavirus pandemic. Trump surrogate Corey Lewandowski dubbed him “Beijing Biden” in an online campaign event Wednesday. And during a White House news briefing Saturday, Trump said China will “own” the U.S. if Biden wins.

But Trump’s recent criticisms of China have been muddied by his own mixed messaging as well as by his numerous financial ties to the country. Those connections extend beyond the Avenue of the Americas loan: Chinese state-owned companies are constructing two luxury Trump developments in United Arab Emirates and Indonesia. The president and his daughter Ivanka Trump, a White House adviser, have been awarded trademarks by China’s government. And his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has courted Chinese investors in at least one other real estate deal.

“We actually explored all these foreign enterprises and how once he became president he’d be seen differently by foreign leaders who would have leverage over this president because he had investments in their countries and/or financial dealings with business enterprises and financial institutions and investors in their countries,” said Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.), a member of the House Oversight Committee. “He is highly conflicted with respect to China.”

China is the number one reason Trump will not release his taxes IMO.

Hunter Biden being a pedo is inflammatory and headline grabbing, but it doesn't reflect on Joe Biden. The worst you can say about Joe is he might have known his granddaughter was in an unsafe environment and didn't report it, but it was already being reported to a therapist who is a mandatory reporter with or without that 'everyone must report' law, and we don't know how Joe might have confronted his son or tried to resolve what was going on- and I doubt Joe Biden knew his son was saving topless pics of his granddaughter.

Joe Biden taking millions in bribes from the chinese in an -actual- conspiracy, is extremely deal breaking. Like, unironic manchurian candidate dealbreaking. The kind where the fate of our entire democracy is at stake.

im not comparing supposed crimes at all, im comparing your standard for evidence in both cases. one's a high bar, the other is a line drawn on the sidewalk in chalk masquerading as a hurdle.

likewise your "lets wait for the official facts to come out" attitude is one sided.

you're even in this thread stating we have "evidence" of child porn on Hunter's laptop and that Joe knew about it, based on Rudy and a bunk article lol.

you're taking this hook and riding the line my man, it may be a night crawler or a plastic fake worm, but its in your mouth, through your cheek, and you're not even struggling as its reeled in. its just funny is all.

As always, I go where the evidence leads. If the bulk of the evidence says that the Trump tower meeting was about lobbyists trying to hoodwink their way into talking to the Trumps about the Magnitsky Act, that's what I figure it is. If the evidence suggests Trump asked Ukraine to look into Hunter Biden for partisan political purposes, that's where it leads. If the evidence is nothing but "the laptop was taken by an FBI agent who worked for 5 years in child porn cases", that's not enough for me to believe there's child porn on it. If the same people who have access to the laptop harddrive and have given it to numerous outlets and congressional offices to verify it, say that it contains child porn and turn it over to the state police who also verify it has child porn- that's reason to believe it has child porn.

Its simple critical thinking and evidence based observations. If there wasn't any child porn on there, the Biden camp would have cried foul in dramatic fashion. The state police would have immediately denied it, even the FBI might come out and say its not true. The people who are claiming it would never make such a proclamation unless they knew they could back it up. The media would have run with the story of fake-child-porn-dirty-tricks and excoriated Giuliani and hell, they'd probably file a libel lawsuit instantly.

You can look back in this very thread, I waited for the facts to come out, and even dismissed the suggestion of child porn without evidence. But then the evidence came out.

What takes the cake imho is when Goom started to argue that Biden becoming president wouldnt matter anyway once it became obvious that his outlook is really grim. The reasoning he gave for this surprising opinion was hysterical, it went along the lines of "Trump was so hyper-successful and -productive that there will simply be nothing left to do for Biden, no judicial openings, no big foreign policy issues, no domestic structural issues, basically nothing of impact (beyond the immediate covid aftermath)".

The evolution of his take on the election looks like it was taken straight out of a psychology textbook about the five stages of grief.

lol you wrote 10 paragraphs at the time it was on 1 news outlet and it was the word of a blind guy and your base assumption that it cant be fake, because if it was, someone on twitter surely would be saying it was fake.

you didnt dip your toe at any time, you've been neck deep in the pool from breaking to now. you were just as in when the evidence was 100% rudy's word and speculation, maybe logical and critical speculation, but speculation none the less.

you do this a lot, dial up or down assumptions based on who its about. or shift the goal posts. i dont see anything here thats illegal in the US legal code, if this were a trump story thats about as far as you'd go. now its biden and you're mr ethics.

at the end of the day i think biden is likely guilty of some shady underhanded dealings in big stakes international affairs, and i think trump was just a doofus who got played by smarter players than himself and political actors who get the rules he never bothered to read. but what i find really funny is neither guy, its your take on them.

edit: honestly i think just a bit too much 4chan for u. even if it gives u a bit of a technological hacking insight it might have put a bit too much tinfoil into ur heart.
