I wouldn't call mask mandates and states of emergency "normalcy", but that's probably a question of perspective. I guess it makes more sense to continue this debate about the covid situation and political promises in 1-2 weeks, when it's clear if Thanksgiving has triggered a surge in cases and if the fears about Omicron are justified.
u continually do this thing where u take NYC and LA politics and blow it up. in most places in the US people just went and had thanksgiving with their families, are back at work for months now without masks on, havent really felt the sting of food or other shortages, go out to restaurants with no mask on, etc.
