What a lot of these people are missing here, is NATO is a collection of sovereign states, with their own populaces that they have to keep happy. If Poland was under attack, yes you would have a bunch of Polish lads signing up, drafted and so on to go fight. But for Ukraine? Are 20 year old Spaniards, French or Danes eager to join the armed forces to go fight in eastern Ukraine? Even if it's Lithuania, you think those same 20 year old's are going to be tripping over themselves to go fight? You'd have to be real stupid to come to this conclusion.

That's why NATO is making a 'stand' with Ukrainian bodies. It's a 'low cost' way to weaken Russia. The policy makers have framed it that way, and it's actually really fucked up how they view those dying, but to them it's externalizing the costs so it's a net positive to just throw money at it. Reality is, the west wouldn't be able to actually field millions of young men to actually fight. Look at the average zoomer today and it's all you need to know why recruitment is collapsing all across the western world. We live in comfortable times that has bred weak men. Nothing wrong with it, i'd rather focus on building a family and getting wealthy rather than fighting, but let's be real, we aren't fielding millions for a war that's not existential to our own existence.

All of NATO combined cannot bomb Russia into submission operation Desert Storm style because of those 6K nukes. It's out of the question.

The sanctions card is already played. The whole hand basically. Russia found other trade partners, the Russian economy didn't collapse and the people didn't kick Putin out of the Kremlin like Western "experts" had predicted.

This is a war of of attrition and the bad news for NATO is that Russia has got unlimited raw materials, their military industrial complex is state owned so they were able to immediately ramp up production when it was needed.

The reality is that Ukraine could never win this war and they're getting completely wrecked.

Putin and his leeches are condemned to lose. They already have lost ALOT. I guess the article I linked was clear enough about this: It was a terrible mistake, Ukraine is too big, Nato is too strong, and Ukrainians are superior and highly motivated.

Let's not forget that all this is happening ONLY because democracy is rejected by a small group of people who want to keep their privileges: Putin is "protecting" their assets and Ukraine joining the free world triggered the master genius of the second army in the wurld lul.

You are aware it's quite the opposite. I have family members in Ukraine and it's a disaster. What they say on the news and what's happening on the ground is day and night. I hope this conflict end up asap but the military industrial complex don't want to stop milking this cow.

People need to learn to put their feelings aside and see the truth for what it is as feelings isn't equal to truth. There's no shame admitting Russia are overwhelming Ukraine. It's simply the truth.

At the end of the day, all this won't matter in a few centuries. All we've fought for will be forgotten except in the history books where the "truth" will be what they want people to know.

Putin can't go back and since this piece of shit cannot be trusted on any kind of peace agreement there is only 1 solution: His regime to be terminated.

NATO doesn't feed men into the meatgrinder akin to Russian doctrine; After WW2 and Vietnam the Western populations will not stomach another war with mass casualties unless it was completely existential.
Also the quality of life is far greater than that of Russia and 30k dollars a years plus a bonus isn't really a good deal for ordinary Westerners, whereas it clearly is to Russians, Nepalese, African or Cubans. You know, economic shitholes.

Alas that is why NATO has developed force multipliers that exceed what conventional capability Russia has; He would never but hypothetically if Putin either engaged a NATO nation like the Baltics or used a tactical nuke in Ukraine then a conventional armageddon would rain down on the occupied territories of Ukraine until every last golf cart riding huylo was utterly incinerated. Likely done from behind screens somewhere in Romania or Poland and from within the cockpit of several dozen F-35's

NATO just released a statement to prepare for another decade of war meaning they're prepared to feed Ukrainian men into the meatgrinder for another decade.
